Chaplancies

Chaplaincies offer us an important opportunity to share the Good News about Jesus with many people in our community. We are responsible for the chaplaincies in 3 of our local schools, and we have very friendly relationships with the school staff in Bridge of Don.

Each week members of the church staff lead school assemblies in our schools, telling Bible stories, singing songs and illuminating important life qualities and moral values with insights from scripture. It is precious work, and we value your prayer for it.

Our minister is a part-time prison chaplain in Her Majesty's Prison, Aberdeen. Here there are great opportunities to speak about the forgiveness that Jesus offers and to invite prisoners to receive him. This ministry is carried out in a team of prison chaplains with invaluable support from Prison Fellowship.

Members of our church are also active members of the Street Pastors team. Street Pastors go out onto the streets of Aberdeen to care for those who need it. They meet all sorts of folks from those who've had too much to drink to the homeless. They are a friendly face willing to listen and help as they can. Whether its calling a taxi, handing out soup, or providing flip-flops to those who have broken or lost a shoe! The whole point of Street Pastors is to show that God loves all those in Aberdeen. We very much value your prayer for these chaplaincies.
